I traveled around the Lake Kawaguchiko area, Yamanashi Prefecture, to see Cherry blossoms, which bloom a little bit later than those in Tokyo. In this article, I will write about Cherry blossoms at the lakeside of Lake Kawaguchiko.

[Main Part]

“Kawaguchiko Sight Seeing Bus” (Rerto Bus/Omni Bus) runs around Lake Kawaguchiko and there are several spots where you can see cherry blossoms with Mt. Fuji in the background near the bus stops.

Ubuyagasaki (Bus stop: Kozantei Ubuya)
Probably, this is the most famous spots where you can see cherry blossoms with Mt. Fuji in the background. However, since I arrived at the venue in the early morning and the weather was not so good, I didn’t see other visitors so much.

Reverse Mt. Fuji  (Bus stop: View point of Sakasa-Fuji)
It is said that you can see reverse Mt. Fuji (Mt. Fuji as reflected on a lake) around here. Though I was not able to see the reverse Mt. Fuji due to weather conditions, I tried to take photos as much as possible.

Nagasaki Park (Bus stop: Nagasaki Park entrance)
The final destination was Nagasaki Park. This area was not known so much, but I found it was more satisfying than I expected.

Ironically, when I left the venue, it started to become sunny 🙁
