Okinawa Trip without Car: Part 12: Outlet Mall Ashibinaa & Chura Sun Beach

[Introduction]

I traveled to Okinawa for four days and three nights. This time, I visited Okinawa Main Island, mainly Naha area. My concern was that I don’t drive, which might make my trip difficult, but I enjoyed the trip very much by using monorail and taking bus tours. In this article, I will write about Outlet Mall Ashibinaa and Chura Sun Beach as part of Day 4.

[Main Part]

After the half-day bus tour (see the previous article), I got off the tour bus at Naha airport. In the afternoon, I will visit Outlet Mall Ashibinaa, Chura Sun Beach and Senagajima Umikaji Terrace, which are located in the south of Naha airport.

Outlet Mall Ashibinaa

First, I visited Outlet Mall Ashibinaa, as there was a route bus that directly links between Naha airport and Outlet Mall Ashibinaa.

Outlet Mall Ashibinaa is the first outlet mall in Okinawa. The design of the mall features the combination of the Southern Europe architecture and the Okinawa culture.

So, let’s window shopping!

There are nine brands that opened the first outlet shop in Japan, such as GUCCI and Yves Saint Laurent.

A van that sells hotdogs, ice cream and shavings etc.

I feel as if I were in Southern Europe, though I am in Okinawa.

I dropped in several shops and found some goods were really reasonable.

From Outlet Mall Ashibinaa to Chura Sun Beach

After I left Outlet Mall Ashibinaa, I moved to Chura Sun Beach. It took about 15 minutes on foot and here are some snap photos on the way to Chura Sun Beach.

I arrived at Chura Sun Beach.

There was a basketball court.

The beach extended the length of 700 meters and bicycle rental was available.

I walked around the beach.

I found a plane over my head.

Then, I left Chura Sun Beach for Senagajima Umikaji Terrace, the final destination of my Okinawa trip.
