[Introduction]

I traveled to Kaohsiung, the second largest city in Taiwan for five days and four nights in the middle of September. I was impressed by Taiwan when I visited Taipei at the end of April, and I revisited Taiwan in less than a half year. I had some difficulties in gathering information compared to Taipei, but I found there were lots of things to do in Kaohsiung as well. In this article, I will write about Formosa Boulevard Station’s Lighting Show as part of Day 4 and return home as part of Day 5.

Formosa Boulevard Station’s Lighting Show

Following the previous post, I returned from Central station to Formosa Boulevard station, which was the nearest station to the hotel where I stayed. Regarding Formosa Boulevard station, I watched “Dome of Light” on the first day (see the related article). In addition, lighting shows are held three times a day (11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.), so I watched the show this evening (8 p.m.).

By the way, Formosa Boulevard station is famous for “Dome of Light”, but around the ground exit area was also attractive.Kaohsiung Formosa Boulevard Station

Now let’s watch “Dome of Light”. To begin with, the following photo was taken before the lighting show started.Kaohsiung Formosa Boulevard Station Dome of Light1

Once the show started, music was blaring and colors were changing one after another.""

Just Sleep Kaohsiung Station

Now it was the fifth day (final day) of my Kaohsiung trip. First, I will check out the hotel (Just Sleep Kaohsiung Station).

Since my return flight was in the early morning, the hotel prepared breakfast for me. To tell the truth, my accommodation plan did not include breakfast, so I was wondering why the hotel gave me this gift 🙂""

Anyway I left Just Sleep Kaohsiung Station and moved to Kaohsiung International Airport.Just Sleep Kaohsiung Station

To recap the accommodation, I was satisfied with stayed at Just Sleep Kaohsiung Station. The location was convenient for sightseeing and the hotel rate was reasonable considering its facilities.

[Closing]

That’s it for the article about Formosa Boulevard Station’s Lighting Show as part of Day 4 and return home as part of Day 5 of my Taiwan Kaohsiung trip.

To summarize the Taiwan Kaohsiung trip, I found Kaohsiung has different appeal compared to Taipei. In particular, “Dome of Light” at Formosa Boulevard Station is completely unique in the world.

Now my Taiwan Kaohsiung trip series with 13 articles was completed. Thank you for reading my blog. As for Taiwan, I visited Taipei and Kaohsiung this year and I would like to visit Taichung and Tainan by Taiwan High Speed Rail next time 🙂

Regarding my next trip, I have already arranged it. As my last trip in 2017, I am going to Hong Kong from November 26 to 30 for the first time in five years. My blog will not be updated for the time being, but once I return from Hong Kong, I will start the next series, so stay tuned 🙂
