[Introduction]
I traveled to Okinawa for four days and three nights. This time, I visited Okinawa Main Island, mainly Naha area. My concern was that I don’t drive, which might make my trip difficult, but I enjoyed the trip very much by using monorail and taking bus tours. In this article, I will write about dinner at Steak House 88 and night walk in Kokusai street as part of Day 2.

[Main Part]
I returned to the hotel to take a rest and then walked around Kokusai street again in the evening.
Dinner at Steak House 88
To begin with, I will have a dinner. I visited “Steak House 88”.
“Steak House 88” is a traditional steak house that was opened in 1955. Okinawa used to be under the rule of the US military from 1945 to 1972, so American food culture remains in Okinawa.
In the restaurant.
I ordered a tenderloin steak, which is the most popular menu in “Steak House 88”.
I chose the small size (100g).
There was an ice cream bar with ten kinds of Blue Seal’s ice cream.
I scooped all of the ten kinds of ice cream 🙂
It was a little early before sunset
It was around 18:15 when I left the restaurant and the sky was still bright.
Sunset in Okinawa was around 19:30, so it was a little early before I started a night walk in Kokusai street.
So, I stopped by a massage shop to adjust time.
Night Walk in Kokusai Street
When I left the massage shop after 60 minutes, surprisingly it was raining.
Anyway, I decided to conduct a night walk in the rain.
An antenna shop of Churaumi Aquarium. I will visit Churaumi Aquarium the next day.
“Okashi Goten”, a souvenir shop.
There were lots of souvenir shops along Kokusai street, so it was easy to select souvenirs.
“Steak House 88”.
Other snap photos.
“Kokusai Street Yatai Mura Village” where there were about 20 restaurants.
At Makishi station, the final spot of Kokusai street. There was a Shisa (lion-shaped ornament) near the station.
Then, I returned to Prefectural Office Station, the starting point of Kokusai street and I found the rain stopped. So, I took several photos again before going back the hotel.
Then, I returned to the hotel and the second day of my Okinawa trip for four days and three nights was over.
[Closing]
That’s it for the article about dinner at Steak House 88 and night walk in Kokusai street as part of Day 2 of my Okinawa trip.
According the weather forecast, it would become cloudy before noon. As it had been sunny until evening, I thought it would continue to a fine weather in the night. So I was surprised to see it started to rain in the evening. Actually, the weather forecast often was off the mark during my stay in Okinawa, so travelers don’t have to worry about the weather predictions so much 🙂
On the third day of my Okinawa trip, I am going to participate in a one-day bus tour to go around the North and Central Okinawa main island, including Churaumi Aquarium. In the next article, I will write about Kouri Island as part of Day 3.
