I visited Showa Kinen Park, Tokyo, to see tulips there. It is said that tulips at Showa Kine Park are modelled on those at Keukenhof in the Netherlands, which is renowned all over the world. So that’s why I visited there. Actually, I felt as if I were in foreign countries rather than Japan.
Showa Kinen Park invited a former director of Keukenhof in 2003 and asked him to redesign the tulip garden at Showa Kinen Park. In 2006, the renovation was completed and the number of visitors to the tulip garden has more than doubled since then.
Now you can see how I enjoyed viewing tulips at Show Kinen Park.
The background was muscari.
It looked like paprika.
Bokeh back and forth
Sickly purple color
I felt as if I were in Keukenhof.
This tulip was called “First class”.
Combination of different color tulips
I switched to single focus lens which I bought just the day before.
So, that’s it for the article about tulip at Showa Kinen Park. If you visit Tokyo in April, you may consider visiting there 🙂
