[Introduction]
I traveled to Kaohsiung, the second largest city in Taiwan for five days and four nights in the middle of September. I was impressed by Taiwan when I visited Taipei at the end of April, and I revisited Taiwan in less than a half year. I had some difficulties in gathering information compared to Taipei, but I found there were lots of things to do in Kaohsiung as well. In this article, I will write about Taroko Park as part of Day 3.

[Main Part]
Taroko Park (大魯閣草衙道)
Following the previous post, I moved from Lotus Pond by MRT, got off at Caoya Station and came to Taroko Park.
Taroko Park (大魯閣草衙道) is a commercial complex that was opened in May 9, 2016. The complex consists of the shopping area (“East Mall” and “West Mall”) and the amusement park area (“SUZUKA CIRCUIT PARK”).
First, I walked around the shopping area.
There were several street performances on the street.
Here is “SUZUKA CIRCUIT PARK”. There were several attractions, including a mini Suzuka circuit,
Go-carts and
Mini bikes.
In addition, there was a big ferris wheel.
I will stroll around the shopping area again.
View from the upper floor.
Trams were running on the street.
“Tainan Tan-Tsu-Mien” at Food Court
Now it was in the evening, I visited a food court in the East Mall to have a dinner.
After I went around the food court to check each stall, I decided to visit “Tainan Tan-Tsu-Mien (台南擔仔麵)”.
I ordered Tan-Tsu-Mien (擔仔麵) with Luroufan (魯肉飯) and a boiled egg (煮卵).
I just visited this stall by intuition, but found it was the right decision. Actually, this was one of the most impressive cuisines in my Taiwan Kaohsiung trip 🙂
Light-up at Taroko Park
It was after sunset, so I will watch light-up at Taroko Park. To begin with, I will walk around the fountain square near the entrance.
How beautiful the reflection is!
Around the shopping mall area.
Around the amusement park area.
Trams became more impressive in the evening than in the day.
Ferris wheel.
Here are other snaps.
In the last minute, I will take photos around the fountain square.
I believe this spot is suitable for instagram.
Then, I went back to the hotel and the third day of my Taiwan Kaohsiung trip was over.
[Closing]
That’s it for the article about Taroko Park as part of Day3 of my Taiwan Kaohsiung trip.
Taroko Park was opened just last year and does not appear on guidebooks so much at this moment. However, as you can see in this article, Taroko Park is very photogenic, so I believe this place will attract much attention as one the best photo spots in Kaohsiung in the neat future 🙂
In the next article, I will write about Taiwan Sugar Museum etc. as part of Day 4.
