Fukuoka Trip Part 4: Marinoa City Fukuoka

[Introduction]

I traveled to Fukuoka, in mid December. While Fukuoka has an image of gourmet town, it has also tourist spots more than I expected. In this article, I will write Marinoa City Fukuoka as part of Day 2. It has more than 120 outlet shops and amusement facilities in its vast premises, so you can spend a whole day, particularly if you are a shopping lover.

Breakfast at ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka

It was the second day of my Fukuoka trip. To begin with, I will have breakfast at ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka where I have been staying.

It was a buffet-style breakfast and contained a proper balance of Japanese cuisine and Western one. In addition, several local foods were provided.

Here is what I had today.

Gold’s Gym Hakata Riverain

After breakfast, I moved from Hakata station to Nakasu-Kawabata station by subway and came to “Hakata Riverain”, a commercial mall.

I came here because I would like to do a workout at Gold’s Gym located on the first basement of the mall.

Today, I had a workout mainly for the chest.

Marinoa City Fukuoka

After the workout at Gold’s Gym, I moved to Meihama station by subway for the first destination of the second day.

I walked for a while and came to “Marinoa City Fukuoka”.

“Marinoa City Fukuoka” is a commercial complex opened in 2000. Its main facility is a big outlet mall with more than 120 shops.

In addition, in the “Marina Side area”, which faces the sea, there are a yacht harbor, a Ferris wheel, and a food court etc.

Anpanman (Red Bean Bread Man), a famous Japanese cartoon character.

The Ferris wheel matched with the background of the blue sky.

I will ride on the Ferris wheel.

The facility included a hotel.

This is an athletic facility “NOVOLT”.

I felt as if I were in a foreign resort.

This building is “Notre Dame Marinoa”, a wedding hall.

A yacht facility operated by YAMAHA.

An island over there was “Nokonoshima Island”.

Now I will return.

I stopped by “Kisuimaru” for lunch.

In the restaurant.

I ordred “Kisuimaru-Don”.

Then, I will move to the next destination (around Fukuoka Tower) by bus.
