[Introduction]
I traveled to Fukuoka, in mid December. While Fukuoka has an image of gourmet town, it has also tourist spots more than I expected. In this article, I will write about the 5th day of my Fukuoka trip. I just found the international terminal in Fukuoka Airport was photogenic.

Breakfast at ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka and Workout at Gold’s Gym Hakata Riverain
It was the fifth day (final day) of my Fukuoka trip. To begin with, I will have breakfast at ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka where I have been staying. It was a buffet-style breakfast and here is what I had today.
I checked out ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka where I stayed for four nights.
After checking out hotel, I went to “Gold’s Gym Hakata Riverain” following the previous day. I had a workout mainly for the arm and shoulder today.
Going around
I have already visited most of the tourist spots I had planned to visit, so I will spend the fifth day leisurely. Here are some snaps.
“Hakataza Theater”.
“Tochoji Temple”.
The main hall.
The five-story pagoda.
There was “Hakata Sennen-no-Mon Gate” near the temple.
I came to Sumiyoshi Shrine.
The main hall.
A statue of ancient sumo wrestler.
Torii gates.
Tenjin Horumon
Now I will have lunch. I visited “Tenjin Horumon” in Hakata station.
In the restaurant.
Here is what I ordered.
Fukuoka Airport
Although I had enough time before the return flight, I moved to Fukuoka airport early as the weather went worse. Instead, I will go around the internal terminal.
An illumination event was held at the international terminal.
Twinkle.
Shopping area.
I visited the observation deck.
HK Express.
J-Air, a regional commuter airline.
JAL (Japan Airlines).
Now I will move to the domestic terminal.
I will have dinner in “Ramen Runway” before the return flight.
I visited “Ramen Unari”.
I had seafood tonkotsu ramen.
As I had some time, I stopped by the ANA’s lounge.
Then, I returned to Tokyo with ANA and my Fukuoka trip was over.
[Closing]
That’s it for the article about the 5th day of my Fukuoka trip.
As the final article of Fukuoka trip series, I will recap the trip. I visited Fukuoka in time with winter illuminations and found there were tourist spots more than I expected. This time I went around the central areas of Fukuoka, so I would like to visit other areas in Fukuoka such as Kokura and Mojiko (Moji Port) next time.
Now my Fukuoka trip series with 13 articles was completed. Thank you for reading my blog.
Regarding my next trip, I planed to visit Vladivostok in Russia from March 15 to 18. However, due to the coronavirus, which has been spreading worldwide, I decided to cancel the trip.
So I don’t have any plans for my next trip and thus this travel blog will be suspended for a while. Once the coronavirus comes to end, I will arrange the next trip and announce it in this article. Anyway, I will take a short break 🙂
