[Introduction]
I traveled to Singapore in late June for the first time in two years. In addition to famous tourist areas, I went around spots I have never been to before this time. While I have lived in Singapore for a year and half before, I find something new whenever I revisit Singapore. In this article, I will write about Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay as part of Day 4.

[Main Part]
Merlion
I left Esplanade. The rain stopped and I decided to go and see Merlion.
Jubilee Bridge, which was built in 2015, has made the move between Esplanade and Merlion Park easier.
Merlion came into my sight gradually.
Although it was a weekday afternoon just after the rain, there were lots of tourists around Merlion.
A typical Merlion shot.
Another typical Merlion shot.
As Merlion was not my main objective this time, I cut short a visit to Merlion Park. I watched it carefully two years ago, so if are interested in it, please check my past articles:
“Merlion Park: one of the must-visit places in Singapore”
“Merlion Park at night – Wonder Full at Marina Bay Sands etc.”
Marina Bay Sands
I will move from Merlion Part to Marina Bay Sands. There were several ways and I chose to simply walk to Marina Bay Sands in a clockwise direction.
I crossed Helix Bridge on the way.
It had been sunny when I visited it two years ago (see the related article). Unfortunately, however, it was cloudy this time.
I arrived at Marina Bay Sands.
Just like two years ago (see the related article), I will stroll around “The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands”, a large shopping mall.
As a new attraction, there was “Digital Light Canvas”.
This art work was codeveloped with “teamLab”, a Japanese art collective, interdisciplinary group.
Speaking of “teamLab”, it recently opened “MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM: EPSON teamLab Borderless” in Tokyo and I found all of their works were very artistic.
This was “Sampan Rides”, which went through a canal in Marina Bay Sands.
The entrance was also cool.
I went out of doors.
Louis Vuitton.
Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade
There was a promenade called “Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade” in the south of Marina Bay Sands, so I will walk around there.
This was my first visit to this area and I found it seemed to be a business district.
At the same time, there were several art works around here.
It was a place of relief, wasn’t it?
After a couple left the venue, I took a photo.
“Red Dot Design Museum”.
Gardens by the Bay
I returned toward Marina Bay Sands and headed for Gardens by the Bay.
Dragonfly Lake.
I used an escalator on the way.
On the back side, there was Marina Bay Sands standing.
Dragonfly Bridge.
View from the bridge.
“Supertree Grove” is the most famous attraction in Gardens by the Bay.
While I spent more time on going around Gardens by the Bay including paid areas such as “Flower Dome” and “Cloud Forest” two years ago (see the related article), my main objective this time was located behind Gardens by the Bay, so I will move further.
[Closing]
That’s it for the article about Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay as part of Day 4.
In this article, I walked around major tourist spots in Singapore, such as Merlion, Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay and whenever I visit them, I find something new. In particular, “Digital Light Canvas”, a new attraction in Marina Bay Sands, showed me its cutting-edge technology and I found Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade, which I visited for the first time, impressive 🙂
In the next article, I will write about Marina Barrage as part of Day 4.
