[Main Part]
Aidu-ya & Coffee Shop American
Following the previous post, I will go around Namba and Dotonbori in the evening. I will have dinner first of all.
I visited “Aidu-ya”, one of the famous Takoyaki restaurants in Osaka.
I ordered “Takoyaki”.
I also had “Negiyaki”.
“Aidu-ya” was located in “Namba Walk”, an underground shopping arcade directly connected to subway “Namba” station.
I also stopped by “Coffee Shop American”.
“Coffee Shop American” was opened in 1946, so it had a retro atmosphere.
I had mixed juice.
Night Walk in Dotonbori
I will start night walk from Ebisu-bashi bridge in Dontonbori.
As you can see, lots of tourists gathered to take photos with the background of “Glico Running Man”.
Toward Shinsaibashi area.
I will walk around Dotonbori Shopping District.
Dotonbori Shopping District was lighted up in the evening.
“Kuidaore Taro” clown.
Ura Namba
I left Dotonbori and went around “Ura Namba”.
“Ura Namba” is an entertainment district located in the east of Namba station.
There were a variety of restaurants including drinking places.
Around Namba Station
I came to around Nankai Namba station.
There was “Osaka Takashimaya” department store around here.
While I stayed at Umeda (Kita area) this time, I would like to stay at Namba (Minami area) next time.
Hozenji Yokocho etc.
I walked around other entertainment districts. First, “Nakasuji Yokocho”.
It had a retro atmosphere.
There was “Hozenji Temple”.
It was established in 1637.
Near “Hozenji Temple”, there was “Hozenji Yokocho”.
“Hozenji Yokocho” had a variety of restaurants.
Again, Dotonbori
Finally, I came to Dotonbori again.
As a cruise ship passed, I took a photo in haste.
“Glico Running Man” in Dotonbori is one of the most popular scenes in entertainment districts in Japan, along with “Nikka Whisky” sign in Susukino, Sapporo.
I took several photos with “Glico Running Man” and cruise ships.
Then, I returned to the hotel and the third day of my Osaka trip was over.
[Closing]
That’s it for the article about evening scene in Namba and Dotonbori as part of Day 3.
Namba and Dotonbori are attractive in the daytime, and they become more gorgeous in the evening due to light-ups. In addition, there were several spots that become active in the evening such as “Ura Namba” and “Hozenji Yokocho”, so if you have a chance to visit Namba and Dotonbori, I would recommend you stay there both day and night!
In the next article, I will write about Expo’70 Commemorative Park as part of Day 4.

コメントありがとうございます。そうですか、大阪に住んでいたことがあるのですね。大阪でもミナミは特に大阪らしさを感じられる場所でしたので、自分もコロナが落ち着いたらまた行きたいなと思っています!
