I traveled to Osaka in late September. This was my first visit to Osaka except for business trips. There are several things I missed doing, so I would like to revisit Osaka in the future. In this article, I will write about Tenpozan Anipa as part of Day 5.

[Main Part]
Tempozan Marketplace
Following the previous post, I moved from “Osaka Aquarium KAIYUKAN” to “Tempozan Marketplace”.
Naniwa Kuishinbo Yoko-cho
First, I will have lunch at Tempozan Marketplace. I visited “Naniwa Kuishinbo Yoko-cho”.
“Naniwa Kuishinbo Yoko-cho” is a food theme park that reproduces the streetscape of Osaka in 1970s when the Osaka expo was held.
“Naniwa Kuishinbo Yoko-cho” was filled with retro atmosphere.
Among a variety of restaurants, I visited “Hokkyokusei”.
“Hokkyokusei” is a Western-style cuisine restaurant whose headquarters is in Shinsaibashi and said to be the first restaurant that created the rice omelet.
I ordered the beef rice omelet.
Tenpozan Anipa
After lunch, I went to “Tenpozan Anipa” located on the 3rd floor of Tempozan Marketplace.
“Tenpozan Anipa” is a mini zoo where visitors are able to interact with animals. The facility is divided into three zones.
Fureai Zone
When I went into the entrance, there was “Fureai Zone”.
At “Fureai Zone”, rabbits welcomes me.
There were a variety of rabbits here.
Just like “The Tortoise and the Hare”, a Aesop’s Fable, there were also turtles.
Jungle Zone
Then, I moved to “Jungle Zone”.
As soon as I entered into “Jungle Zone”, I caught the eye of an alpaca.
I have less opportunities to see alpacas, so I took a lot of photos this time.
This alpaca was used to people and looked into my camera.
There were other kinds of animals in “Jungle Zone”. For example, small kangaroos.
Capybaras.
In addition, there were several kinds of birds such as an owl and
a parrot.
Pet Zone
Last but not least, I stopped by “Pet Zone”. In this area, there were a lot of dogs and cats.
A cat with Halloween costume.
As for dogs, there were a variety of species. From small dogs.
Medium-size dogs.
Big dogs.
In general, dogs sleep about 12-14 hours per day, so half of dogs were sleeping.
Both of the two dogs took a sleep.
From another angle.
One of them woke up.
I wanted their cushions as they seemed to be comfortable.
Another dog woke up.
The dog had vacant eyes, as it woke up just now.
This dog had a sleep directly on the floor 🙂
Then, I left Tenpozan Anipa.
[Closing]
That’s it for the article about Tenpozan Anipa as part of Day 5.
As you can see, Tenpozan Anipa had a variety of animals from familiar animals including dogs and cats to animals which we have less chances to see such as alpacas, kangaroos and capybaras. In addition, visitors are able to buy snack cups to feed them. If you like animals, I bet you will be satisfied with the facility!
In the next article, as the final post of the Osaka trip series, I will write about “GLION MUSEUM” and return home as part of Day 5.
